The Valley Floor
It is essential that you plan for your lodging before you arrive at the park,
because there is often no space available for impromptu trips in the summer.
The Ahwahnee |
This is a ritzy hotel, complete with mints on the pillow. (209) 252-4848 |
The Yosemite Lodge |
These rooms cost less than the ahwahnee, but still have a bathroom, phone,
etc. Additional people in a room costs only a little more.
(209) 252-4848 |
Yosemite Lodge Cabins |
These are small, separate buildings. Some have a bathroom and phone,
others just have beds and lights (not even a 120V outlet!). There is a
very close-by shared restroom and a shower room for cabins without private
ones. Additional people in a cabin costs only a little more. (209) 252-4848 |
Curry Village Tent Cabins |
These small, separate buildings have a wooden framework and a canvas
roof and walls. They are primarily for summer use. They cost less than
cabins, and come with several beds. Additional people in a tent cabin costs
only a little more.

These are outdoor campsites with concrete walls and a raised canvas
roof. (800) 436-7275 |
Campgrounds |
There are a number of campgrounds for everything from walk-in camping,
to tent camping, to RV camping. Reservations can be made up to 12 weeks
in advance.

Outside Yosemite Valley
Wawona Hotel |

aren't far from skiing or snowboarding at Badger Pass. (209) 252-4848 |
Tuolumne Meadows Lodge |
This is really a collection of tent cabins, like in Curry Village. They
are only available in the Summer. (209) 252-4848 |
White Wolf Lodge |
There are a few cabins and several tent cabins (like in Curry Village).
They are only available in the Summer. (209) 252-4848 |
So, what do I do if I can't get lodging?
You are usually out of luck, and you'll have to drive out of the park
to find lodging. But, before you leave, check with the Lodge Main Desk.
They usually have a short list of cancellations for rooms. Sometime in the
afternoon they give them away on a first come, first served basis. Ask them
when they do it, and get there about 30-45 minutes ahead of the time. If you
are early enough in line you might get one of the cancellations.
