Here is the view after leaving the Lodge, heading toward Yosemite Village.
The path is smooth, paved, and divided for opposing traffic.
Halfdome appears in the upper right.
|
The pathway is interrupted by stop signs at several points near
Yosemite Village. The sign below reads:
BICYCLES PERMITTED ONLY ON PAVED BIKEWAY & ROADS
|
The stop signs will keep you from speeding through the Village, or
getting hit by vehicular traffic, which is allowed on this side of the
park. Once you pass Curry Village or head toward Mirror Lake vehicles
other than the park's Shuttle Busses are not allowed. One stop sign is
at the bottom of a hill, unfortunately.
