The Rules of the Road
The pathway is interrupted by stop signs at several points near Yosemite Village. The stop signs will keep you from speeding through the Village, or getting hit by vehicular traffic, which is allowed on the Lodge and Village side of the park. Once you pass Curry Village or head toward Mirror Lake vehicles other than the park's Shuttle Busses are not allowed. One stop sign is at the bottom of a hill, unfortunately.
- Skate only where bicycles are permitted.
- Always skate slowly whenever horses or mules are present.
- Do not skate at excessive speed down the hill at Mirror Lake.
- Do not startle, hassle, heckle or annoy the tourists -- just be cool and enjoy skating in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
